Biography of 1,000 Swedish women or women who were active in Sweden, from the Middle Ages to the present. Only deceased women are included. In addition to the biographical sketches, there is biographical information on origin, education, activities, organisational affiliation, contacts and awards, as well as source references and information on archives and memorials.
SKBL is produced at the University of Gothenburg by a project group consisting of researchers (historians and literary experts) and librarians. The articles are written by researchers and experts from all over Sweden.
